Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club LOCAL RULES ARE IN ADDITION TO THE RULES OF GOLF AS APPROVED BY THE ROYAL AND ANCIENT GOLF CLUB OF ST. ANDREWS.<\/p>\n FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS ALL PLAYERS ARE REMINDED TO SIGN IN<\/u><\/strong> AND OBTAIN A START TEE TIME AT THE CLUB SHOP OR THE BAR PRIOR TO STARTING THEIR ROUND.<\/p>\n PLEASE REMEMBER THAT NO DENIMS, SHELLSUITS OR TRACKSUITS<\/u><\/strong> ARE ALLOWED ON THE COURSE.<\/p>\n PLEASE REPLACE DIVOTS, RAKE BUNKERS AFTER USE AND REPAIR ALL PITCHMARKS ON GREENS.<\/p>\n ALL PLAYERS SHOULD LEAVE THE COURSE VIA THE FRONT LEFT OF THE 18th GREEN.<\/strong><\/p>\n All other unmarked ditches are drainage ditches and should be treated as NO PLAY AREAS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Preferred Lies \u2013 rules 11 and 12.<\/u><\/strong> These must be\u00a0 initiated by notice from the club. Rule 11 applies to a ball in the \u2018rough\u2019 and rule 12 applies to a ball on the fairway or on grass cut to fairway length \u00a0Note \u2013 these rules do not apply in Penalty Areas where the ball must be played as it lies<\/strong><\/p>\n 11<\/strong>.When a player\u2019s ball lies in the general area the ball may be lifted cleaned and replaced without penalty. \n<\/u><\/strong>The Boundaries of the course, except where stated below, are the walls, fences, hedges and marking posts bounding the course.
\nEXCEPTIONS
\nThe areas within the course boundaries that are Out of Bounds;
\nThe marked Area around the Clubhouse extended to the fence adjacent the 9th Green (Note that the Road and Staff Car Park and Greenkeepers\u2019 Bothy are all Out of Bounds)<\/li>\n
\na) All ditches and streams on the course marked with Yellow Stakes and Red Stakes.
\nb) The marsh area between the 4th and 6th fairways is designated a Red Penalty Area<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n
\n<\/u><\/strong>All areas of the course marked with blue stakes or blue lines.<\/li>\n
\nAll paths, wheel and tractor tracks anywhere on the course, the Quarry Access Road and all bridges shall be treated as ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
\nA ball resting against a surface rock or a piece of embedded stone blasted from the quarry<\/strong>, or so close to a piece of such stone that the said stone cannot be removed without moving the ball, relief may be taken without penalty.<\/li>\n
\nShould a player\u2019s ball strike either the Power Cables or the Pylons anywhere on the course the player must replay the shot, without penalty, it is not an option to play the ball as it lies.<\/li>\n
\n<\/u><\/strong>The Ground Ventilation Flues and Drainage Manhole Covers on the course are designated IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS.<\/strong> Free relief may be taken under Rule 16.1b.<\/li>\n

\n<\/u><\/strong>The large rock between the 8th<\/sup> and 12th<\/sup> fairways is designated as an Integral Object. If a ball lies near or on this Integral Object, or the Integral Object interferes with a players intended swing or stance, the player may take relief from the Integral Object under penalty of 1 stroke.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n
\n<\/u><\/strong>All players must allow the group in front to PLAY FROM AND CLEAR<\/u><\/strong> the 15th<\/sup> Tee prior to playing ANY<\/strong> approach shot to the 14th<\/sup> green. The group playing the 15th<\/sup> MUST<\/strong> pass the designated Black and White markers before the group behind attempt to play to the 14th<\/sup> green<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
